Berlin Board Games Studio (BBGS) is a development network for analog board games based in Berlin, Germany.
Our main focus is on creating unique game ideas and developing intellectual property for various media platforms.
We design innovative and entertaining tabletop games that respect and expand the boundaries of traditional gaming fun. Our passion is to combine interaction with well thought-out thematic depth.

We develop and publish our games with a strong focus on the wishes and desires of our target group, the international community of passionate gamers.

We sell our concepts as prototypes to publishers worldwide. On request and after structured consultation, we can offer our customers these new games until they are ready for full production. Publishers who wish to conserve their own resources and want complete packages are also very welcome.

We offer various consultation services, to publishers, authors and developers. We are experienced in supporting creative processes, accompanying production processes, finding international partners and exploring additional business opportunities.

Even as a kid, I was crazy about all kinds of board and card games, and since there wasn't much exciting stuff back then, I developed my own games early on. In my quite boring school days, I started one of the first D&D groups in town and went to the movies almost every day. So I studied film and theatre and threw myself into the media industry independently for two decades... the whole roller coaster of a career there to award-winning level, directing, producing, dramaturgy, format development and as a media consultant. In the late 10s I decided to move into the thriving board game industry, taking over distribution for one of the big Asian manufacturers and working on and off as a consultant for young publishers on big projects and as a game designer. After finishing my Dragon Dale at Corax Games, it was time to start a new board game studio - and here it is!

I am a Game Designer with almost 15 years of experience designing games in almost all forms of play. From digital to analog and live games. My special focus is on the overall design framework and visions of games, as well as on finding the connective tissue between all these different formats. As a Game Designer, I’ve worked on big and small pc titles, but also on board games such as Oathsworn: Into the Deepwood and on large and small scale larp projects (like Greylight 2142)
